Hi there!

I just wanted to let you know that I love my new home!!!

I made a lot of new friends this weekend at the horse show. Sam is one of my favorites (he is the little red doxen in the pictures). He and I play for hours and then nap together when our moms have to go ride. I even like the horses! Mom's horse Lola and I are very good friends and I visit her stall often to say hello.

My new brothers are great too. Tucker, Basil and Tubby (the black lab, basset hound and corgi) love to play with me in the yard and we have tons of fun exploring and playing.

I tend to hoard the toys, but they don't seen to mind. Basil makes for a fabulous chew ty and Tubby makes a great pillow for nap time!!!

Bear, the jack russel, likes me, but isn't too much fun...he sleeps a lot. Mom says that I am doing very well with my crate training and house breaking. I love to sleep in my crate since mom makes it very comfy and I know that in the morning after breakfast and going potty that if I'm good I may get to sleep for a little while with her.

I do have a lot of toys, but for some reason I still think that feet and shoes make much better play things...but I'm working on that. I am very excited because this weekend I will get to go to the horse show again and play with Sam and Lola, and soon, mom says that I will be old enough for puppy kindergarden and puppy playtime, and then maybe even the dog park in a few months! I really love my new family and I am very sure that they love me too.

Mom says hello and thank you for helping her find me, and I thank you for helping her find me too! Tell my other mom and dad, and my brothers and sisters that I say hello and that I miss them...but not to worry because when they get a new home I bet it will be as great as mine is! So long for now...we will write again soon!!

Ludo (and Tracey)
p.s. attached are some pictures of me and my friends and family, and then a few of just me....im very photogenic you know...

More Bucky

Hello Camila and Tom,
Just sending an end of the week update. This dog is awesome. He is truely what GSD's were meant to be. I truely think he was meant to live with the family here. We called him Bucky but soon realized he loved to be called buck buck or bug bug, either way he likes it. What an awesome dude to have in our family. We introduced him to the neighbors and he seems to think they're pretty cool. We've taken him to the field in the back, the park, the canal, grocery store, drive through, gas pump (it is N.J.) and the river walk- he seems to love all of them equally. Everyday he is in one of the cars going somewhere, which he never complains about. He has a cow shank that he is smitten with, when the day is over and everyone is laying on the couch and watching T.V. He eats his dry food throughout the day but knows when we are in the kitchen something good is going to happen. Smart? This guy is probably smarter then me! Is great with strangers, but he will take or leave em' except if it is the middle of the night when he's watching the house- then it is a different story. He is very nice with other dogs, not overly interested- likes to say hello and get on his way. By the way, he does things our last GSD would never ever do. He walks over greated waterfalls, walks down open basement stairs, he never has any fear, nervousness, shyness or timid. A very confident stable dude. I could go on and on, but everytime he encounters something that I think he might make him nervous about he proves me wrong

We wouldn't trade him for all of the tea and china in the world. We are very thankful that you have raised such stable dogs. Now, he is not a push over- he loves to play games with us and let us know what he thinks. He barks wildly when he is in the yard or in the house and something just doesn't seem right to him. And of course he has a look that only his mother and we could love ( a true GSD, not a cocker or lab). When people see him coming-they cross the street. If they only knew how sweet he really was.

What it boils down to is; they don't come any better then Buck Buck. He is the real deal. A beautiful dog physically and mentally. I have left him for quite long period of time and he refuses to go to the bathroom in the house EVER. He loves his den when he wants to relax. Buck Buck has an awesome appetite. He is very curious of other people, not blown away by them, but accepting. Loves us to death, if you consdier tail wagging, face licking, and following everyone wherever they go (including the bathroom) a good sign. Right now we are working on basic obedience which he has excelled at so far. If he doesn't obey a command it is not because he doesn't understand, it is because he wants to "bust our chops", he has a very good sense of humor.

Well, I think thats is enough for now- I can honestly say that is this is the best money I have spent in my life EVER. So, rest assured we are ALL very happy with Buck Buck. If you are still in the business in the future I know exactly where I will come to get my next GSD. And that goes for anyone else looking for an awesome dog.

Thanks,
Brendan & Moyra

Hey guys,

I just wanted to show you some pics of Vandal's first water training at the lake with the Search and Rescue group. I hope to eventually train him in water recovery for cadaver when we are through his tracking certification. That will be quite some time anyway, though. I hope you guys are doing well, I know it must be a very busy time for you. I think of you both often. Well, as often as he eats another piece of lawn furniture. :)

Take care,

Mendy

Tom & Camilla,
Okay, I know you think you have some pretty good dogs at your kennel. But I am afraid you let the best get away. Blix, aka Jaeger Vonderteuth, son of Beah & Boss is the best dog in the whole world. Albeit he does some amazingly stupid things like run into a park bench while running down a frisbe and decide that possums are toys to bat around and all cats want to play, he adores children (bringing good press to Shepherds everywhere). He loves all dogs too. He heels like he was trained by a pro. But most of all, he catches 5 frisbes in his mouth without dropping any. Really. You throw one, he holds it and at the last moment grabs the next frisbe, and so on until he has 5. I ordered 5 more soft discs to see what the record will be. I think 10 is doable. Rani will be having a baby in 2 - 3 weeks and we know Blix will be an amazing pet for out boy/girl/whatever. If he doesn't lick it to death. We also moved out of Boston to a 6 acre farmy house so he runs like mad, but I think he misses all the people and dogs from the city.

We always say how lucky we are to have him in our lives. I don't think I could have another Shepherd after him. Time to clone.

Carl

subject Update on one of your puppies(Panter X Bo)

Hello from Ct. We thought we would drop you a line to say HI THERE! Behr is doing terrific. He just had his 3rd birthday and couldn't be happier. He has two new nieghborhood friends next door( well, two doors down). They are German Show Line and about 9 months old now. They are brother and sister and Behr(a.k.a. Moor Von Der Teuth) thinks its the greatest. Of course he has to play the Alpha with them. Its the only time he gets to be in charge. We have told many people about your kennel. They are just so impressed with Behrs temperment. We take him to church every Sunday and he is the best "kid" there. (Yes he goes to Mass). He also goes with Shawn to work every day and when I'm off I take him wherever I go. He has even been to a union meeting!

We check your website from time to time to see what has been going on. The new puppies are so cute. When I look through the pictures i think Behr looks most like Bo. He definitely has Panters energy. PLAY is his main game!!!! He would rather play than eat dinner. We have attached some pictures of Behr for you. We also attached a funny picture we rec'd on line which is now on our desktop. Enjoy! Hope all is well with all of you!

subject Loki - Orly

Hi Tom and Camila,
Josh and I wanted to reach out to you to let you know how very happy we are with Loki (Orly). He is the most beautiful dog I have EVER seen! His coat and face and everything is completely gorgeous. His temperment is great and he is very solid as well as determined. He makes my day every morning when we walk through the park next to the house. He loves to play with the hose, chase bubbles (you can't even say the letter B without him thinking it is bubble time), rip up stuffed dog toys and of course chew his bones! We are very pleased with him and wanted to take a moment to commend you on your breeding program. It is comforting to know we can always get another perfect dog to complete our family! Please feel free to use us a reference. Thank you for your dedication to excellence. We have enclosed a couple pictures for you,

Thanks again,

Josh and Melissa

subject THANK YOU!
Hi,

I meant to write a lot sooner but it is difficult to get on the computer lately. It has been soooo wonderful having Major as part of the family. He has met so many dogs and people and is so wonderful with everyone! Yesterday he went down the stairs to the backyard all by himself which is a big deal because it is steep and there are about 15 stairs!

He is still unsure of what the cats are and they are still unsure of what he is! But they meet often during the day then Major cannot contain himself and he chases them away!

Thank you so much for everything. You have made me the happiest person in the world!

I will send pictures soon.

Taylor

Hi!

As Viktor aka "Angus" gets close to his 1-year birthday in February I wanted to send a picture and let you know that he has become an indispensable worker here on the farm in Tolland: No one wants to do chores without him! (except the cows: he likes to herd them) We're all delighted to have him around and he continues to impress every day with his keen senses, capacity for learning, steady temperament, and loving personality. Indeed, a friend of mine who is a retired Connecticut State Police Lieutenant has asked about Von der Teuth Kennels and any upcoming litters. (March?)

Thanks again; Angus is a great companion. I hope all is well.

(Follow up email)

He is getting big; taking after his father I assume. His intelligence is uncanny. He learns like a human and continues to amaze and startle everyone: This past weekend my mother removed a box from under her bed and placed it in another area while Angus watched. The next day Angus (on his own) removed several other boxes, a quilt in a plastic case, and some other items and carefully moved them to the same spot my mother had moved the first box. He also frequently organizes his toys into one consolidated pile. (typical German organization) What a dog! Please feel free to use the picture and of course to stop by and visit. Let me know if you're going to be in the Tolland area.
